Kingfisher on Tuesday, March 3 at 6 PM in the Large Print Lounge at Galax Public Library. Copies of the book are available for pick up at the circulation desk at the Galax branch.

Crafternoon - 3:30 - 5:30PM. Carroll County Public Library. This program is recommended for ages 8-17. Join us at the library for an afternoon of self-guided, independent crafting. You bring the creativity, we provide the supplies. Craft ideas and examples provided for inspiration.
Guided Meditation - 9 - 10AM. Chestnut Creek School of the Arts. We will discuss the different styles of meditation and why they are applied. Students will practice the different options as a method for the participants to decide what fits them best. Intro to Drumming - 4 - 5PM. Chestnut Creek School of the Arts, 100 N Main Street, Galax. Ages 5 - 18+ years. All ages and skill levels are welcome in this introductory class. Students will learn the basics of drumming, including time signatures, drum notation, and getting familiar with percusive instruments. This class will provide students with a supportive and positive environment to learn about one of the most important, yet underappreciated, forms of music. IN THE LOOP Fiber Friends - 5:00PM-7:00PM. Galax Public Library. Bring your knitting, crochet, embroidery—or start something new! Meet fellow crafters in a relaxed, welcoming space. This even occurs on the 1st and 3rd Thursday of every month, and on the Tuesdays of the other weeks.
Fries Theater Jam Session - 6PM-9PM. Doors open at 5:30. Cakewalk after the 8PM break. Join this weekly gathering where you can listen to old time music or bring your instrument and join in. Flat footing and dancing is optional. You don't want to miss the fun! Donations welcome.
