We will create projects in drawing, painting, collage, printmaking, and mixed media. The sky's the limit! Sessions can be repeated and are designed as individual classes. Wood Turning Studio - 3 Sessions offered at $15/each. Ages 16+. Chestnut Creek School of the Arts at the Woodworking Studio, 107 W Oldtown Street, Galax. Practice building the skills you have learned in the Beginning Wood Turning class in this supervised open studio. Our on staff professional will be there to guide you. This is not a teaching studio. The Arts Council of the Twin Counties presents a one-man play: “Lost and Found in Pulaski”
1908 Historic Courthouse in Independence, 107 Main Street, Independence. 2 - 4pm. This exciting, one-man play, “Lost and Found in Pulaski” will be performed on Saturday, February 28 at 7PM in the Galax Public Library Conference Room and Sunday, March 1 at 2 PM at the Historic 1908 Courthouse in Independence. Admission to all performances is by donation. This play is written and performed by David Beach, a Radford University Professor. In this story, Russell finds he has lost the city. After leaving the city behind he finds himself in rural Pulaski, Virginia trying to put down roots.
