*Community Meal - 4PM-6PM, Community Kitchen at God's Storehouse, 406 W. Oldtown St. Galax, VA 24333. "Every Monday and Tuesday evening from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., we warmly invite those in need to join us for a hot meal. We understand how difficult times can be, and our goal is to provide support and comfort to our community members who are hungry."

We will create projects in drawing, painting, collage, printmaking, and mixed media. The sky's the limit! Sessions can be repeated and are designed as individual classes. Wood Turning Studio - 3 Sessions offered at $15/each. Ages 16+. Chestnut Creek School of the Arts at the Woodworking Studio, 107 W Oldtown Street, Galax. Practice building the skills you have learned in the Beginning Wood Turning class in this supervised open studio. Our on staff professional will be there to guide you. This is not a teaching studio. In this next level class, previous encaustic students will learn how to use a transfer iron, wax writer, and other hot wax techniques that will build on their existing skills. Gardening Series - Tea Workshop - 2 - 3PM Galax Public Library. From Seed to Cup Tea Workshop! Learn how to turn your garden herbs into delicious tea, then mix and match flavors to create a blend that’s uniquely yours. The Arts Council of the Twin Counties presents a one-man play: “Lost and Found in Pulaski”

1908 Historic Courthouse in Independence, 107 Main Street, Independence. 2 - 4pm. This exciting, one-man play, “Lost and Found in Pulaski” will be performed on Saturday, February 28 at 7PM in the Galax Public Library Conference Room and Sunday, March 1 at 2 PM at the Historic 1908 Courthouse in Independence. Admission to all performances is by donation. This play is written and performed by David Beach, a Radford University Professor. In this story, Russell finds he has lost the city. After leaving the city behind he finds himself in rural Pulaski, Virginia trying to put down roots.
