Grayson County Board of Supervisors Hold Special Meeting - 9AM, 129 Davis Street, Room 206 in Independence to announce all names being proposed for the vacant At-Large Interim appointment. All applications must be received no later than Tues., Dec. 2 at 5pm. All applications will be made available to the public for review. Modern twist of The Christmas Carol - 1PM-2PM, The Rex Theater in Galax. The Christmas Carol is brought to life... on the set of a radio station. This adaptation of the Christmas classic comes to life with local actors telling the story in a record-breaking 60 minutes.
Nature's Little Elf Workshop (ages 3-15) - 1PM-4PM Blue Ridge Discovery Center, 6402 Whitetop Road, Troutdale. $10/child includes cocoa and craft supplies. "It’s crafts and cocoa galore at our Nature’s Little Elf Workshop! After picking an elf name, children will have the opportunity to get hands-on with a variety of seasonal crafts. Elf costumes welcome! Activities will take place both indoors and out, so please dress warmly."
